Praying at the gym…

At the gym there was a person in severe pain and I felt God said to me ‘pray for them’. But I chickened out. I went up to the person and was going to say something, but then just asked for a piece of equipment. A couple of weeks ago someone came in, whom I hadn’t seen for several months. That particular weekend she’d done a half marathon and a Tough Mudder. I saw her again two or three weeks later, and she came in on crutches. I chatted to her and she was frustrated and disappointed because she had a hip fracture that happened during the weekend when she’d done too much. She’s only in her mid-30s, so the bone should have healed by then, it was unnatural for it not to have done. After chatting with her, I felt God saying I should go and pray for her. So I saw her a few days later and offered to pray for her. I asked if she was a Christian, but she said she wasn’t because of bad things that had happened in her life. She agreed for me to pray for her, and I asked the Lord for the words and prayed. I’d messaged my prayer group to pray and someone had suggested unforgiveness could be a block to healing. So when I next saw her I asked if there was unforgiveness, and she gulped. I left her with that thought and am now praying for God to complete the healing.
